to be continued...

The site is now hibernating for a little while during the last weeks of my studies at écal.
Most of the work on the interface has been done now, and I need to focus on yet another one: my diploma's interface that will help users of a library to navigate through the books, using a Tangible User Interface.
See you later!

the projects' navigation is now ready

I just finished to implement the concept of the r3mix.ch projects' navigation. See how it works right on my site in the year 2005.

r3mix.ch future update!

r3mix.ch will be improved again soon.
Iwill extend the interface as stated before, in adding an horizontal navigation, where you will find my personal data, curriculum vitae, a form to contact me, links to other websites, and also internal links to my blog, wiki, lab and client subdomains. You will be able to hire me and ask for an estimate.
website - dataspaces added

dataspaces is an investigation of the contemporary notion of space through the digital data flux.
I decided to explore the actual GSM network and its antennas and cells, and delimited the space of a limited area in term of cells. This is, I think a more concrete and realistic way to represent space (specifically boundaries) than on a standard map that represents physical and arbitrary boundaries
The project ended up as a web service allowing a restricted number of people to know where each other is, using the GSM data sent from the cell phone. The most interesting part is the personal calendar, displaying day-by-day the trace of the places you visited.

r3mix.ch update!

I added several projects to my portfolio as well as the feed you are reading right now.
The interface also includes several minor improvements, like a loading indicator...
I'm also encoding the videos to be added right now, and implementing a new part of the interface called the "backstage".
That's right! The backstage. In fact the main part of the interface is called the "scene", as if the website was being filmed by a camera on top of the interface, with cards flying around, and the camera moving from an area to another. The backstage is the part of the portfolio which is not directly visible. It holds all the additional info, such as my CV, hiring infos, links, and much more.
